Ways to support the podcast this year: ✖️Buy a sticker and rep the podcast! Shoot me a DM with your FULL NAME, MAILING ADDRESS, AND VENMO/PAYPAL INFO ✖️Leave a written review on iTunes! This is super helpful when companies check us out and can hear what people are saying. ✖️Consider donating to our @patreon. You can back the podcast for as little as $1 per episode a month. This really helps keep this thing going, and we’re super appreciative of all of the support 🙏🏻 -- First logo ideas by the one and only @radcrafts ✏️ #fortheloveofclimbing #flcpodcast
Excerpt from episode seven: “I think a lot of the fear that came with messing up or things not working out went away because I saw what happens when you don’t get a chance—when you always think, ‘Oh, maybe I’ll do it later.’ and then later doesn’t exist. So, why not just do it now? Being able to just be like, ‘Yeah. Let’s try it.’ I think I’d be happier to try and not make it than to just wonder if it would have worked forever. -- “Why Not Now” with @dank_brooklyn available now. Exhaustion. On the verge of tears. Stressed out beyond my max. Out of my league thinking I could or should take on a project alone (if you know me at all, you know I’m not allowed to use power tools since a drywall incident gone bad in early ‘05.) These are some of the things that can accurately describe the last two months. -- Until this week, every feeling associated with buying this van has been a negative one. This was never the plan. Having a home base—a partially settled life—was. Being in one place, having some stability, putting down roots, creating community—these were really important things to me after spending 9 months back in NYC, a month in Chatt, Boulder, and then in flux. And then my world was ripped from underneath me, in the cruelest, most unkind, unthinkable way possible. -- But guess what, world. I was knocked the fuck down but it’s far from the end. Most of the time, life doesn’t give a flying fuck about your plans. Life is a crapshoot and you learn to land on your feet (or in my case, stumble around for eight weeks until you remember you can pick yourself back up.) -- To be honest, each podcast episode that’s been put out since August 15th has helped me immensely. I listen to them and I remember that you can be brave and vulnerable synchronously. Thank you @therealdoctorindianajones @angela_vanwiemeersch @sky_yardeni @halcyhoo @brycesgordon and @fortyonethirty for your words: “You can’t choose the things that happen to you, but you can choose how you respond to them.” When I ask myself how I want to go through this—it’s with my head held high. -- Thank you @k2eliason for making sure my head is above water, and for giving me a thousand reasons to love my new chapter. And to every kind soul who has reached out and been a friend and shown their support and love, even if I haven’t been able to express it fully—I am thankful. I’m two months late, but I think that 2019 is going to kick some serious ass. I don’t know about you all, but after a two-month long hiatus, I’m ready to do some climbing. #fortheloveofclimbing
